French doll in very fine biscuit. 55cm tall, original red hair, brown eyes, perfectly intact, no spinning. On the body is printed in blue: Paris gold medal. It has two side cords with two beads, white and blue in glass, which activate the voice. Behind the head bears the inscription in red: Tete Jumeau, the production date 1907 and the number 10 indicating the type of doll. Some notes on the production: In 1889 the famous biscuit factory Jumeau was transformed into SFBJ or a consortium of porcelain doll makers, united to counter the fierce competition of German dolls. In 1907 they decided to revive the iconic Bebe Jumeau that had been so successful. The difference is a brighter cheek color and less noticeable eyebrows, but they practically remain identical to those of 1890, some even prefer them. The clothes are not the originals, but they are vintage and in silk, the shoes with the bee engraved in the sole are the originals, really hard to find still in these conditions, ermine stole, handbag, book and gloves included.
